page is one of a series where I give my ideas on aspects of Reiki and/or
energy work. The pages are intended to give some "food for thought"
and some are only my viewpoint. While a number of facts may be included,
you should decide for yourself how much (if any) of the content feels right
From time to time I get a request from a student to assist in placing energy around a situation in their life to help create a change or shift. I know that they're thinking because I do energy work to support myself, and because I've been doing this for a long time, I must have more potential to assist them than they themselves do. While I'm always happy to do so (it really doesn't take much time or effort) I try to help the student understand their own power and abilities.
I think one of the typical misunderstandings that we have about energy work is that the abilities of another can be far more powerful than our own. Yet if the other person doesn't really have much of a stake in our day-to-day reality, I feel that their contribution may not be as powerful as our own can be. Because it's we who draw to us the experiences around us.
My understanding of our reality is that each moment-to-moment event has an unbelievable number of probably outcomes and probable selves (like the many basketballs on the court in the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know") as our higher Self actually plays all of these out, much like a film crew will shoot a scene several ways. In the end, our beliefs and affirmations tend to magnetize to us the probably situations and the probable selves of the others in the event that match our current frequencies. The rest seem to end up on the "cutting room floor." So this is how we create our reality in each moment, sort of borrowing the probable self of each person that fits what we are radiating in the moment.
When I read my students' requests, I automatically do the Light Work (and more) they asked for (always do this with my guides, especially my Higher Guides like those in the channeling class), but in the long run I feel it is the student who manifests their day-to-day reality, not me. :-) It seems that a higher part of the person can easily negate anything I'm doing if their beliefs and moment-to-moment affirmations are too strong in the opposite direction.
A good tool anyone can make use of is the “Bridge of Light” work by Launa Huffine which can be used with any focus (e.g. harmony, trust, etc.) and you can even invite onto your bridge, anyone you are having difficulties with, wish to draw to you (even if you don't yet know them) or just wish to share with. On the bridge you can talk to them as if you were having a meeting before you see them next in physical reality.
Also, when trying to draw someone to you
(partner, client, co-worker) it helps if you send
Light out to that unknown person, especially whatever Light matches that
which surrounds you or your business. Then just Trust.
