This Note is one of a series where I give my ideas on aspects of Reiki and/or energy work. The pages are intended to give some "food for thought" and some are only my viewpoint. While a number of facts may be included, you should decide for yourself how much (if any) of the content feels right to you.
One of the first Reiki exercises I learned that didn't involve direct healing with a person, was using Reiki on your drinking water.  I think that most Reiki practitioners learn something like this.

Reiki WaterIf this is not something you learned, it is pretty simple to do.  Just pour yourself a glass of water, place your hands around it and charge it with the same energies of your Reiki treatments.  It only takes less than  a minute.  Then go ahead and drink your water.  While Reiki does flow through you as you use it, this is another way to assist it's flow.  So it's like doubling up on your Reiki energy.

One time I went for a non Reiki, natural healing treatment from the late BC healer, Al Sideen.  Al told me he worked with the spirit of a doctor he had known in a previous lifetime.  He had also trained with Filipino healers in the use of psychic healing, although they allowed Al to use his hands off approach.  When the treatment was complete Al gave me a bottle of water and said to drink this each day.  When the water got down to near the bottom of the bottle, but not empty, he said I only needed to fill it up again.

I recalled this technique from some other natural healing systems I had read about. I knew that the idea of adding in more water is that the remaining water affects the new water.  So you can continue to receive the benefits of the healer's energies long after the initial treatment.

Obviously you can do this with your Reiki energy.  This  makes a nice gift for family and friends.

Lots of people like to take their own water with them when they go somewhere.  Reiki can be given to store bought water and other beverages as well.   Like Al and other healers, you can give energy charged bottles of water to your Reiki healing subjects,  Or you can Reiki the water or beverages they bring to the Reiki session.   If they happen to drink all the water in between visits you can easily send distant Reiki to a bottle of water they fill at home.

You might simply have special water bottles already filled and charged that they can take with them.

Now think about taking this idea a little farther.  You can let Reiki flow into your garden hose as you water your yard and plants.  Or you can Reiki water flowing from your tap as you fill a container for watering plants, cooking, filling your bathtub, even as you shower.  How about sending Reiki to the water in your swimming pool?  There is no end to the ideas.   And you can do the same by calling on higher Light (as in my Light Technique article) and using that or any other healing energies you work with.

If you are looking for some interesting validation, in my previous articles "Reiki and Nature"  and "Light Technique for Healing and Energy Work" I mentioned Masaru Emoto's project on "Messages From Water."  He demonstrates how emotions  directed towards water can affect the molecular structure of the water.  I simply expanded this to include applying healing energies like Reiki to water as well.  The emotions we feel at the time will affect the water molecules as well as our Reiki.  So it's a good idea to have a good frame of mind with healing intentions as you do this.

In those 2 articles I also mention taking this idea further and sending Reiki to your local water sources (dams, reservoirs, wells and underground sources) as well as local bodies of water, rivers and streams, lakes, oceans, whatever you can think of.  How about sending Reiki to the rain and snow clouds so that the water and snowflakes are energized as they fall to earth?

Reiki Crystal Near TapFeeling a little lazy about this?  Why not charge up a crystal with Reiki and intend that the crystal continue to emit Reiki energy to the nearest water source.  Then place one near each of your water taps or in your fridge next to your beverages.  if you have a bottled water or a water cooler, just place it on top.  And how about next to beer, wine and alcohol?  Well, why not?

Those who like to use Reiki grids can also include any of these water or beverages sources in their grid.  It's another simple way to keep the energies flowing to your water sources.  I'm sure if you have used these ideas before you have already come up with more innovative ideas for adding Reiki into your daily life.  Each can make a very nice gift for those who are special to you.
